DomainSecondhand.com Scam Continues PDF Print E-mail

DomainSecondHandFor those who own premium or popular domains, beware from these scammers. With many domain scams going around targeting your domains, DomainSecondHand.com is a scam still going around and scamming users out of their domains. If you have seen or heard from users mentioning to buy your domains, make sure you can trust to who you are selling.

Some emails that have been going around usually make it quick and easy with a professional ending when contacting you for your domain. While many of the emails may vary, many of them like to use ending such as with "CEO" or "CTO". There's no telling what these scammers may put in order to try to scam your domain from you, but here's an example (out of many but duplicate emails sent) of how such an email from DomainSecondHand may look like if you should receive an email from them:

Hello, Your domain for sale has been found online.

Please let us know your price.

We make money on selling and buying names and sites. Now the domain business is very attractive.

Looking forward to do business with you.

Regards,

George Ogilvie

CEO

Ogilvie Technologies

Looks very simple and professional using the "CEO" part which makes some users feel like they are talking to some who has a profession in these types of things, but usually they send you a link to a forum (usually fake and hosted on a free hosting site), to see appraisals to make you feel more "trustful" on their offer. No scammer can "guarantee" you getting paid.

DomainSecondHand.com or any mention of it while offering to buy your domain in a email automatically is a scam already. You can either ignore or play around with the scammers (they deserve it).

I heard about these type of scams. I have received some of these emails before but I always stick to using escrow and avoid using paypal.
