Well many people these day's just don't understand about these types of things. This will hopefully teach you on how to sell your high-priced items (Laptop, Desktop, Bike, etc.) on eBay. The meaning of Scam is well known by everyone, which is the trick or "con" someone into thinking that they will get paid or when they are buying also. Which in this case, a simple steps can teach you (and prevent) from being scammed.
One of my relatives had been scammed, but it wasn't on eBay, it was by email, one of the most common sense that everyone should know. Just because the person has a real site or phone number doesn't make it legit. My relative was scammed $800 out of his pocket, and all he got was some pretty upset people (his family) and stress. Good example? Well, I will leave that entirely up to you.
Unauthorized
Before posting anything on eBay or anyplace that has the same idea as eBay, you must always do your homework first. As in the write the steps you will use to sell your item, might sound stupid but it can help you. Some auctions end, and the reserve price might be met , But sometimes (or maybe most of the times), Sellers might receive a message from eBay, informing that the listing had been "canceled due to bidding activity that took place without the account owner's authorization. What does this mean? It means that you must not only be careful on who has access to your account because unauthorized users can do things that can pretty much screw you up. Like a friend of mine, who was hacked by a pesky keylogger, had his account stolen and then the hacker using his account, bid on several things with exaggerated prices. Make sure that your computer and account are both safe before continuing!
Careful Who You Sell It To!
Many users on eBay have that potential buyer's eBay feedback—and some are nearly 100 percent positive, means that not many times the user can be trusted. A common pay method is Paypal (and Bank of course), but many Paypals are getting stolen today by a lot of hackers! Why not get the sellers information first. Communication is the first step into selling your Items. Things you should ask BEFORE selling your items:
-Search up the username (maybe it might be blacklisted)
-Search up the Name (if the person gives it to you)
-Ask for the Phone Number (why shouldn't they give it to you? You selling them your item!)
-Do Payments mostly by Bank! (it is a lot harder for scammers to use banks, since you can track them or wait until the payment is processed, if it is a scammer then they will decline, if they have the cash, tell them to deposit!)
See how easy some of these things can be? These few steps can be helpful, this might take some time, but it beats getting scammed!
