Microsoft Windows Vista
Microsoft Windows Vista
As a continued supporter of Microsoft (somewhat), I always wondered if Vista was right for me ever since its release. Many people and techno-geeks think that Vista was a crash for Microsoft and should have never been introduced. Well, to tell you the truth, I used to think that there were some problems with Microsoft's Windows Vista, but it appears that I have been wrong. Windows Vista was a mistake in my opinion. It has faced a lot of bugs (and believe me when I tell you A LOT), and also the so called "activation" has already been cracked and even in the Service Pack 1. What does this say about Vista? Well, I will let you be the judge.

Many of these problems were bugs and crashes that Vista had and many users had experienced it. One of the big problems today for Vista is the security issues and how it looked bad when Microsoft said that there were better features in Vista than Windows XP and that the activation was a lot better and securer. Now look what happened. There are cracks for Vista before and now there are new ones for Vista SP1. Many of the things that users never thought was the lies and rumors of Vista were made before. For example, there was story about a Man calling himself the "Computer User" and he was rumored to have made a Crack for Vista's Activation. Later, he admitted that his "Crack" was just a phony. That story made users think that Vista's Security was bad and in reality, it really is now. Don't great me wrong, I support Microsoft and I think it's great company but there are some things were they just screw up on. Windows XP in my opinion should be continued at least for one more version.

Windows VistaWindows Vista is not really all that bad. SOME people love Windows Vista (only the ones that don't know anything about computers, no offense). Windows Vista is known as a "memory hogger" or a "not-ready operating system". I think you can see the system requirements here. The current minimum system requirements for Window Vista is:

  • 800 MHz processor and 512 MB of system memory
  • 20 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space
  • Support for Super VGA graphics
  • Come on, you really expect this to be the minimum requirements? I think not. You can test it out but an 800MHz computer would take minutes to start up Windows Vista and would probably take hours longer than it takes to install Vista on a decent new computer. The "recommended" system requirements (which I think is the minimum in reality here) is:

  • 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 512 MB of system memory
  • 20 GB hard drive with at least 15 GB of available space
  • Support for DirectX 9 graphics and 32 MB of graphics memory
  • Internet access (for activation purposes)
  • And a lot more...Trust Me

Seems a lot for just the "recommended" system requirements here. Are you sure you didn't mess up the recommended with the minumum requirements, Microsoft?

I wonder what will happen to Windows XP when 2014 will come to end everything with Windows XP. I will continue using XP (most likely) until I see improvements on Windows Vista. I thought about switching to Windows Vista sometime but I'm not sure. If you use Windows Vista, that's great, but we'll see which operating system (between XP and Vista) stands last. I'm sure there will be better sides to see about Vista...I hope.
