 Bots are annoying and pesky. Not every bot is bad. There are good bots that go around your site like the Google Bot, MSN Bot, Yahoo Bot to index your page(s). Now the only thing that is left are the bots that give us problems. Spam Bots! Spam Bots are so annoying and give you a hard time when you run a site, forum, blog (a lot), guestbook, or any type of online community activity. Every site gets spam no matter what. Forums, Email, even IM's are way you can get spam.
Unnecessary comments you get on your site or blog is a big problem of spam that many bloggers/webmasters face. They can make you look bad if you don't have some type of protection enabled to protect you and your site (if you have one) from spam. Now if you read up to this part and have no idea what a Spam Bot is. You can find out what is a Spam Bot is. Bots are useful in some ways, good and bad. They can be web crawlers that allow us site to be found in Search Engines (some). And the bad bots, also known as Spam bots can be collecting emails to send in Bulk and sends mail that you will never need in your entire life (spam email in other words). Even though there are still things out there on the net to help us against the fight against Spam, what are they? Overall, Bots are pesky and annoying (which many of you will agree), but I think that we are going to be in a rough future with Bots (the bad ones I mean). I wouldn't be too surprised if some new Security was created to block spam and the bad bots for us. CAPTCHA will always be needed, and I hope that many of us agree. Volk Defense will soon be starting a Anti-Spam project and I hope that many webmasters will participate the fight against Spam.

Well, one of them is CAPTCHA. While it really isn't a program we can use on our computer as a personal program, but is used online like when registering at Yahoo, MSN, Google, Myspace, etc. I think that CAPTCHA will be our only choice against Bots for now. It has really proven itself in fighting spam and bots. While there have been current issues with CAPTCHA it will live on and the idea of Anti-Spam will live!
