Spybot - Search & Destroy Spybot - Search & Destroy (Spybot S&D) is still a currently popular software used by a lot of users today. This nifty little tool will help you get rid of your spyware problems. Spybot, in our testing has proven to be really useful, even thought the installation might be a little long to do if you are missing some requirements. So what so good about Spybot - Search & Destroy? Well, for one it detects and removes spyware (which you should have gotten from the name obviously), not only that, but Spybot S&D detects threats not yet covered by common anti-virus applications. Spyware (which we all hate) silently tracks your surfing behavior to create a marketing profile for you that is transmitted without your knowledge to the compilers (hackers who made it) and sold to advertising companies. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you haven't intentionally installed, if your browser crashes inexplicably, or if your home page has been "hijacked" (or changed without your knowledge), your computer is most probably infected with spyware. Even if you don't see the symptoms, your computer may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging and then is where Spybot S&D comes in. One of my most favorite things is freeware, or otherwise software that is free. And the thing that makes it better is when good software that is useful is free, then that's where the real impression begins. So first off, Spybot S&D is free, so there's no harm giving it a try to see if something has invaded your computer. I would highly recommend that you try Spybot S&D at least if you think that you have been infected by spyware. One features that I like about Spybot S&D is the scanning speed and updating speed. Unlike other Spyware removers, they might take a long time to update from their servers but the cool thing is the multiple sources you have to download from (patches) to update your Spybot S&D. This is good in case one source goes down, you have others to choose from! Now the only thing that goes as far is the GUI (Graphical User Interface). Now it may be the most fastest scanner but not the prettiest. I guess when something is good in one side, another thing must be bad in another side. Nevertheless, the program is at its full but I would wish that sometime the GUI be upgraded or at least made a little better. The language settings are the best, this program has the most language options I've seen in any spyware program. This includes over 30+ languages for anyone who may be using this. I would definitely recommend this to protect your computer against any attack from Spyware or security risks. If you want to try this program for yourself be sure to check out the home of Spybot S&D.
