In all my computer career, I have come across very great and powerful security software and then there is the over bloated no good security software. Which many spread rumors and past experiences of security software from all over the internet such as Norton, AVG, NOD32, Zone Alarm, Kaspersky, and much more. Some of the anti-viruses and firewalls I have tested, have improved tremendously since older versions.

Norton Internet Security 2008Norton was one of the most security products that everyone disliked because of it "system" hogs and some rumors of its bad detection capabilities. I will tell you now that many rumors have been proved fake and that the "system hog" is no more due to recent upgrades to Version 2 of Symantec's Products like Norton Internet Security 2008, Norton 360, and Norton Anti Virus. In my side, the features are absolutely rich and fast. If you are a business person and have lots of accounts and private data, I would suggest you upgrade from a Free Anti Virus to a Paid Version such as Norton Internet Security 2008.

Zone Alarm FreeZone Alarm was another target of inexperienced computer users because of its "Nonstop Pop-up Windows". Well let me first say that if you are a beginner computer user, Zone Alarm will be a little hard for you to use because many freak out when they see a popup that says "Allow" or "Deny". For those who want full control on what goes in and out their computer, this isthe perfect program for you. While there are other firewalls such as Comodo and Integrated Firewalls with other Anti Viruses, Zone Alarm is has more control over your computer.

While there are many other Anti Viruses that I have used, none of them have made me feel safer and had more features than Norton and Zone Alarm. If you use any other combos please let everyone know about them. And also it is not recommended you use too many firewalls if you are a beginner computer user as you can lock yourself out from your internet and make your computer slower. As everyone else has their own opinion, I would like to hear yours. What do you think is the best combo?

I have upgraded to the latest version 2 of Norton Internet Security 2008. it is a really great product and would agree for everyone to upgrade to it. as for zonealarm, i really don't like it because of the popups. but norton works just as great for any protecion.

I thought i was the only one to do this. I don't use those Norton but I do use AVG Zone Alarm. The one above looks like a good combo to me.

I haven't tried Norton V2. I will have to try it since past versions did take a lot of system resources, we will see the difference on the new versions. I would also want to see what testing on what machines and speed did it run on. Not all of us have fast computers....
